Class

I had the craziest week last week.  No, really I did.  My brother reported on his LDS church mission, my oldest son had his 3rd Birthday, my husband had his 30th Birthday, and I did birthday parties for both of them, plus I had company twice last week, and I also taught a class for my church on clothing and accessories which took a lot of preparation.  This is the flyer that my friend and fellow ward member, Lindsay made for me.  Isn't it great?  She made me an amazing banner for the evening as well that I hung at the front of the room.  I brought my camera to take pictures of my set up and the banner, but of course I forgot to snap any.  It looked really good if I do say so myself, and I was pretty happy with everything, although it would have been great to have an hour rather than 30 minutes because I wasn't able to get into the meat of what I wanted to.  Oh well, maybe another time!  I transformed the primary room into a dressing room and clothing and accessories exhibit.  I'm still kicking  myself for not taking any pictures!

I've had quite a few people this week ask me about my consultation prices.  I am working on something and will get it posted soon.  I'll make that my goal for this next week.

You did such a great job on the class! And Lindsay's banner and handouts were super cute! That girl never ceases to amaze me.

Get dressed up once a day? Really? How many times are we supposed to change clothes? I love that handout, but I might get dressed up once or twice a week. Once I'm dressed for the day, I'm dressed :). and since I'm a SAHM it's rarely "dressy". I'd love to hear more about why we should do it once a day.

The Emily, what I meant was actually get dressed for the day "once." For me, I get out of bed when the boys wake up (7 am), throw up some comfies and then don't have a chance to go back upstairs to put on a real outfit until they are napping, so for me getting dressed for my day with a cute outfit, usually happens around noon. Make sense? Basically I just wanted the women to put the effort in to look nice before they head out.

Ha, meant to say, "throw on" not throw up! haha

I totally agree Chelsea, when I take the effort to get dressed nicely, I feel better about myself and am more likely to have a good attitude throughout the day, despite what my kids do. I too am a SAHM, so I just make sure my clothes are machine washable so that I'm not worried about ruining my "nice" clothes.

I love your site! I was wondering if you could "guest post" on my site-- about this idea?
I started a YW Blog for personal progress... (I am actually the beehive leader.. but I am encouraging the girls to work on PP as I work on mine-- my blog is where I report and they check up on me.)
I am going to post about your site- and link back to this post.

Again- love the blog- wish I lived closer so I could benefit from your skills...more.
