Valentine's Makeover Top 5 Finalists

*** YOU CAN ONLY VOTE IN THE POLL NOT THE COMMENT SECTION!!!!

Oh boy, I think I now have an ulcer after picking the top 5.  I do not like telling people they didn't make it into the top 5, especially when they are as deserving as those who did make it in.  However, I am very excited about the top 5 for the Valentine's Makeover.  Also, please support our sponsors who allow us to have these makeovers!

You can each cast 1 vote in the poll found on the right hand side of the blog.  Please share this on Facebook and your blogs so that your favorite nominee can win the makeover of their life.  Voting will go until February 6th at midnight and the winner will be announced on February 7th.  A word to the wise, don't quit campaigning until voting is over. Without further ado, I present you with the top 5!
Kip
I'm nominating my wonderful husband Kip.  We just had our 6th child 4 days before his 40th birthday in December.  His birthday got overlooked  because he was busy taking care of me and the  children.  He deserves and  could use a makeover.  He's always putting  others needs and wants above his own.  He takes little time for himself.   His hair doesn't get cut until neither of us can stand it. He started getting gray hair before we were married and it's now completely gray.   He's joked about dying it, every time we've had a baby.    He mostly wears work clothes that are meant to get dirty because he is always working on something.  He only has 2 pairs of pants that are casual.

Kip is an amazing  father .  Our 2 youngest boys love to work and do everything daddy  does.   He's  great with our 2 boys that have autism.  He's patient and understanding when my patience is gone.  Kip is good at helping them and has built a room for their therapy swings.  He brings my daughter and I flowers at random times to let us know he loves us.   He doesn't like to ask for help from others because he knows he can do it.   A  makeover is something I know he can't do by himself.   We're going to my brother's wedding in Arizona February 18th.   It would be so fun for him to go with a new look on our mini vacation.  This  will be the longest  we've gotten away together since we started having children.  It's just 3 days with a baby, but we'll take anything.  He is my hero and love of my life.  I couldn't ask for a better husband and father  who always loves and takes care of our family first!
Julie
This is Julie, she is the mother of a 17 month old little girl. Her daughter has several health issues that require her to be on oxygen 24 hours a day and there is no end in sight for this. Her lack of oxygen early on in her life caused developmental issues and so now Julie is often found running around to doctors appointments and therapy sessions for her daughter. She has ZERO time for herself and she deserves more than anyone I know to be made over and pampered. I KNOW that life isn’t easy for her, she doesn't get breaks, she has so many worries, but she always tries to find the positive in things. She is so sweet and is often found helping others when SHE should be the one receiving the help. She is truly a compassionate and caring person and is a genuine good friend to many. She does not have lots of options in her wardrobe because she does not have the resources to go out and buy new things or even to get a haircut. She is often found sporting yoga pants and plain shirts because that’s what she has. She deserves a fresh new look and I think that it would help her to stay positive and to make her feel good about herself. She deserves a day focused only on her, because this is one thing she never gets, she is always focused on others. She both needs and deserves this makeover!
Brittney
I nominate myself, Brittney.  I wasn't going to because I felt like it was selfish, but you know I am making some BIG changes in my life and I feel better on the inside and I feel like that should be reflected on the outside (only fair right?) I've never been really good about being super trendy, but I've always to try, but never seem to quite get it.It would be awesome to have people help me look my best.  I enjoy seeing how the cute things look on others, especially my older sister who ALWAYS and I do mean ALWAYS has had her style just right.  I'm also hoping that it will help me feel better after a very difficult time in my life. My husband and I have been trying to expand our family for almost two years with no luck. Most of the issues being my medical problems. Nothing has ever made me feel less attractive, than not being able to do one thing my body was made for. I would like to feel pretty again, and I would like to see the light i'm feeling inside. Please consider me, I would love and appreciate the opportunity.
Laura
My name is Laura and I have NO fashion sense whatsoever...NONE..this is no shocker to those of you who know me.  I have always just stuck with the safety and comfort of my jeans and t shirts..once in awhile spicing it up to khaki pants and a solid color shirt, and, if I am feeling wild and crazy I will add a necklace and earrings. Isn't that just fancy ?  It's not that I don't want to be more stylin'..I totally do, but for some reason I am totally lost on what would look best on me, not to mention the tighter finances now that I am a mother.

I am the mother of two little girls and I also provide day care services for an adorable little 1 year old girl during the weekdays.  Between that and caring for friends children as needed, I feel wiped out at the end of each day and don't even have the desire to try and dig myself out of this fashion nightmare. I also have a wonderful husband who is absolutely amazing!  He deserves a wife who isn't a walking embarrassment.  Ok..that's a bit extreme but he does deserve a fancier dressed wife who actually wears make up (oh mercy..make up..that's another story..I have no artistic ability there either).

However, I think it's important to everyone to know I am a happy person..I truly do have good self esteem.  I love to laugh and help others to laugh and feel good inside.  Winning this make over and having this opportunity to change my outward appearance for the better would not be something I take for granted.  It would be a moment I would never forget..and it would be the stepping stone I truly need. In closing I have always known there is a wild and sexy woman trapped in my casual, chunky body and is dying to come out....if I knew how to help myself, I would...since I don't..then I would plead for your votes to help me to help myself..
Kristin

I would like to nominate Kristin for the Valentine's Day makeover.  When you meet Kristin for the first time, you will meet a woman who is full of life and loves to laugh.  You will meet a devoted wife and loving and caring mother of 3 young children.  What you won’t hear about is all of the pain and health issues she has endured over the last years.  300 words are not enough to describe what she has been through. Even the doctors at the famous Mayo Clinic have not figured out what is really going on with her.  My hope is that Kristin is chosen for this makeover for a few reasons:
1.      Kristin will have a ton of fun and for a day she can forget about her worries and gets totally spoiled.
2.      Kristin will get this makeover in time for her 40th birthday on March 11th and her 10 year anniversary this summer.
3.      Maybe someone out there has heard of someone who is in the same or a similar situation and can help guide Kristin in her search to find answers to her health problems.

To me, Kristin has been always been an inspiration and role model because no matter how tough and bad things got she never lost her sense of humor and will always find the silver lining.  When others would have given up a long time ago she keeps going and holds her head up!

Julie all the way - that woman astounds me and has literally NEVER had it easy in her life. She deserves a lifetime of pampering but since that's unrealistic, let's give her at least a day ;) Love ya Jules!

Laura. I was going to say Kip, but he just needs to dye his hair. Sorry Kip, but it will help you look at least 5 years younger. Not that I know your age. :)
