Last night I was hoping to have time to go shopping for the makeover. My husband didn't get home until 7:50 pm, but I knew it was one of my only chances to go shopping before the makeover without kids, so I hurried over to TJ Maxx and got to work a little after 8 pm. I determined after a quick look through, that junior clothes are junk. They are made cheap and poorly. I grabbed some inspiration from the junior section, but got the majority of the clothes from the misses department. Genny doesn't own a pair of boots or skinny jeans, so I want to make sure to incorporate that into one of her outfits. She also needs a girly dress outfit, which I tried to find. I finished up at TJ Maxx at 9:25 pm, and then hurried over to Target and shopped there until they kicked me out at 10 pm. I still need to find another pair of shoes and all of the accessories (tights, scarves, hat?, jewelry), but I'll tackle those once I know what outfits will fit and work. Genny is coming over tonight to try on some clothes. Crossing my fingers that some of these items will work....and fit (that's always the hard part when shopping without the person)
I'm also trying to determine if some of these outfits aren't "teen" enough. I may be back to the drawing board tonight, we shall see.
