Friday Mother's Day Gift Guide: Guest Blogger Natasha Woodward

This week on Make You Over I am featuring some of my favorite Mom Bloggers and their Mother's Day gift ideas. Make sure to tell your husband and children to check it out for some ideas! Check out my e-consulting GIVEAWAY...great prizes included!

My oldest sister Natasha blogs at Momma's Time Out about everyday motherhood with 5 personality-filled children.  She provides daily doses of wisdom, honesty, and humor from a mother's point of view.  In her spare time she enjoys creating digital designs.  She made my headers for both of my blogs, and has a little treat in store for each of you!
I know there are lots of mothers out there who cringe when Mother's Day rolls around.  I have never understood that.  Because I love it!  Sure I have feelings of inadequacy that sneak into my mind, but just like you, I am trying.  I have impatient moments with my children every day.  Too many times to count, I forget to fold the laundry that's been in the dryer for a couple of days.  At 5 p.m. I don't always know what my family will be eating for dinner.  You better believe there are days my children go to sleep without a bedtime story.  As much as I wish I could be the perfect mother I realize that will never happen and my children (and husband) love me in spite of it.  How do I know they do?  Well, besides the daily "I love yous" and their sweet kisses and hugs, I have a treasure trove of Mother's Day cards that I have been collecting since 2001.  They are handwritten, scribbled and illustrated.  Each year I get that same knot in my throat and tear in my eye.  To me, they are the best Mother's Day gifts and to be quite honest it's all I ever want (well, except for the day off.)  Cards don't go out of style, don't need to be repaired, aren't the wrong size, won't make me gain weight, and don't break the bank.  They are heartfelt and genuine and buoy me up.  I'm sure that your mother feels the same way.  If there is one thing I have learned during my short time as a mother it is that when my mother said all she wanted was a card, she wasn't kidding.  (Of course it never hurts to wrap up that other thing she's been hinting at.)  In case you don't have a card yet for your mothers, today is your lucky day.  Download one or two of these cards, and save yourself a trip to the store!
